FabTech Engineering

Marine Division

Fabtech India Engineering Services. Marine Division has a long and distinguished history, beginning in 1980 with the construction of the ADDCAP Wharf at Saadiyat Island. This was followed by landmark projects such as the Abu Dhabi Coast Guard Marine Base in 1984, the Das Harbour Remedial Works in 1989, and the ADGAS Construction Jetty on Das Island in 1997. Over the decades, the division has steadily expanded its portfolio to include increasingly complex marine and coastal infrastructure works.
Major achievements since then include the Construction of Sea Arm for Export Jetty RRE‑7, a 400 kV Overhead Transmission Line project involving artificial island construction, and the installation of subsea pipelines for DEWA’s Jebel Ali Desalination Plant in Dubai. The division has also delivered the Qatar Ras Abu Fontas A1 and B1 Desalination Plants, the NGL‑4 Ruwais Seawater Cooling System, the Ruwais Industrial Harbour, ship lifts at Mesaieed, leisure marinas such as Al Bandar (141 berths for ALDAR), and the iconic Palm Jumeirah Anchor Marina in Dubai (522 berths for NAKHEEL).

This capability has enabled Target Engineering to secure and execute numerous high‑profile projects across the UAE and Qatar. Today, the Marine Division operates more than 35 vessels, including dredgers, landing crafts, tugboats, transportation and construction barges equipped with 300‑ton cranes, long‑boom excavators, vibro hammers, water‑jetting systems, spuds, self‑elevating platforms, and licensed motor boats.

All operations are supported by a logistics and maintenance hub in Mussafah, ensuring reliability and readiness. Underwater works are carried out by IMCA‑qualified divers, supervised with certified decompression chambers and diving stations to meet the highest safety standards.
